SAINTS OR SINNERS?

Good morning everyone, I hope y’all had an amazing weekend and are doing well recovering from losing an hour sleep. As most of you know over the past couple weeks we have been on an identity journey. We started of with 5 attributes to walking in our God given identity, went into being made on Gods image, talk about being adopted as sons and daughters and this week we are going to be talking about being saints.

Before I ever had the revelation of what I am about to share I would see things that stirred me wrong. When I seen messages like “I’m just a sinner” my spirit would always feel off. I truly believe this message is one of the most important ones that needs to be shared with the body and once again it all flows out of a relationship with our creator.

So the question is are we still sinners or are we saints? If we consider ourself still sinners doesn’t that directly contradict everything Jesus did at the cross?

“Whoever abides in Him does not sin. Whoever sins has neither seen Him nor known Him.”
‭‭I John‬ ‭3:6‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

It’s so important to know that as children of God we are no longer sinners but saints! Once we accept Jesus as our lord and savior we no longer have a sin nature and all our sins have been washed away! Right now I’m sure your asking how can that be because we all sin? Unfortunately yes we can sin as saints but notice how John says whoever abides in Him does not sin. We have been equipped to not sin just as Adam and Eve. The both had no sin nature God even called them good before sin entered the picture! This just shows that all you need to sin is free will and the capacity to believe a lie..

“My dear children, I am writing this to you so that you will not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate who pleads our case before the Father. He is Jesus Christ, the one who is truly righteous.”
‭‭1 John 2 NLT

Notice he says if you sin not when you sin and then directs us to being washed clean through our advocate Jesus Christ. Beloved through our savior Jesus Christ you have been equipped to live as a saint, you are no longer a sinner. The devil will do anything to keep us out of relationship with our creator and a very basic lie many Christians believe after accepting Jesus is that we are still sinners, but that directly contradicts everything Jesus did as the cross. Your sin nature is gone you are a saint and through sanctification and walking with relationship with our Heavenly Father your purity spring put an outflowing overflowing of the spirit of the loving God!

Bless you all in this amazing journey!

“Then Jesus stood up again and said to the woman, “Where are your accusers? Didn’t even one of them condemn you?” “No, Lord,” she said. And Jesus said, “Neither do I. Go and sin no more.” John‬ ‭8:10-11‬ ‭NLT‬‬
