CHOOSING SONSHIP OVER ORPHANHOOD

This past week I started my cross country trip from California to New York. It has been one of the most amazing adventures I have ever been on! Currently as I’m writing this I’m sitting overlooking and amazing mountain range in the black hills in South Dakota waiting for a couple of my friends to arrive. I figured I would use this time to share a little bit of breakthrough and a lesson I had with the lord so far on this trip. The orphan spirit vs sonship.

I stayed my first overnight camping in a lady’s yard who I found through hipcamp. The next morning I arose and was ready for my ride to Thermopolis Wyoming. The direct rout to Thermopolis went around the Tetons but completely missed Yellowstone National park a place I have always wanted to visit. While on my trip I also realized that I was going to have to pay to play to even drive through either one of the two route that was ahead of me. Once I realized it was going to cost $35 to just take one of the roads I began to question my decision of route as I could have went through Salt Lake City Utah and missed any fees. I was really praying that the lord would show me I was on the right route.

I began to think that although it was $35 for each entrance to the national park and $80 for an annual National park pass. Once again wrestling with myself because although I want to go to and through many national parks on my trip funds weren’t exactly in a spot I felt comfortable to splurge $80. After riding a little bit more I though I never know when I’m going to be in this part of the states again I must see it all. At this moment I decided I was going to buy the annual pass to be able to ride through Yellowstone and Teton National parks, this my friends was a choice that shifted from an orphan mindset to a choice in sonship!

That day was one of the most epic days on the scoot I have ever had! I crossed the continental divide 4 times, road through 3 states, went through 2 national parks, passed countless state parks and national forests, had my motorcycle around 9700 feet, and seen old faithful blast off! Talk about epic!

As a finished my rides through the parks and states to head west to Thermopolis I stopped at a gas station to fill up. I ended up talking to one of the ladies about direction as service was completely non existent in that area. As we talked I seen all the girls that worked there had tie dye shirts on. I thought to ask do y’all actually like tie dyes or does your job make you wear them. They responded we love them! To which I said I actually make reverse tie dyes and I’m selling them to help me finance my trip cross country, would y’all like to look? They did and so didn’t others! I sold 5 shirts for $75 at that gas station!! My mind was blown and for me it just showed that because I made a choice earlier out of sonship the lord acknowledged that and legit gave it right back!!

So I really just wanted to release this testimony over you! Do not fear and don’t partner with the orphan mindset, always choose sonship! It might not always look like it works but when we partner with him he always makes a way! Step out break the mold and be a son and daughter of the king! He loves you so much! God bless you all and I will talk to you soon!
