MISSIONS IN SANTA CRUZ

What an incredible week we had in Santa Cruz, California! I just wanted to take some time this week and release the amazing testimony’s we had that surfaced during our missions trip last week.

My team and I left Thursday April 5th. We were all beyond excited and expectant for what the lord was going to do. We left caravan style with 3 vans packed full of food, water, bags, and 15 1/2 fired up revivalists from bssm! The half was my team leaders full of joy baby Elijah. Just being back on the road was enough to charge me and get me so ready for all the travels ahead with Jesus.

When we got into Santa Cruz we went straight to the hotel to unpack and get ready for a night of worship. Thursday night we had an amazing opportunity to lead worship at a small house church at the tannery. That place is incredibly all it’s own. Church that night was off the hook I was able to play the jambe with my worship team and we just invited the lord to flow through. That night we ate, we danced, and we worshiped it was so nice to see hearts transformed as the lord used our team just to love on everyone!

Fridays schedule got shifted around a bit because of some impeding rain. What was meant to be a work day turned into a train ride in the mountains and through the redwoods. Some of the best views of redwoods in the Bay Area are just north of Santa Cruz. Although it was still raining it set the scene and we all had a blast. I had an amazing opportunity to partner with the lord as the man who took our tickets had a wrist brace on. Stirred by compassion I asked the man what happened, he said he hurt it skateboarding. As he was busy I let him finish his duty but when he came back I asked to pray for him. We prayed twice and the lord healed his wrist! To which he responded “you can’t get that anywhere.” I let him know it was all because of Jesus! Shortly after we had a bathroom break at the top of the mountain, re-boarding the train I was charged with the Spirit! Before the train departed for base I called out to my passenger cart asking anyone if they needed healing because Jesus wants to heal! Although everyone said they were fine when we were back at the bottom a lady came to me and asked for prayers, she thought I was going to charge her lol. I insisted it was out of love and all Jesus I was just a vessel. God healed that lady’s leg that day. He is so amazing!!

After our ride we ended up going to the arcade down at the beach, but we weren’t playing games. We went there to share the gospel! After seeking the lord and walking around we weren’t really feeling lead to anything inparticular, I called the group together with the best idea! Let’s pray! Haha how amazing and funny God is, literally right after we prayed people started coming up to us! We had amazing talks with people, were able to release prophetic words, partner with healings, and just share testimony’s. After the arcade we went to dinner and a small group of us went to the tannery after for first Friday. Because of the rain most places were closed but we walked back to an open studio and God was doing wild things! We got to partner with him and stir up some stuff, the ladies I was with were talking to another lady and loved on her while sharing God’s heart for her. Then the artist came up to us. What we didn’t know was that it was a set up! Set up by God to invite the lord to show himself to her. This lady wanted the lord but didn’t know the real Jesus as he had been portrayed as week, mean, and powerless to her. That night we invited the spirit to show up in power and show himself to her!

Saturday was our work day and we got to partner with high street community church. Everyone there had such an amazing heart and it was so amazing to love on them and serve them through the fathers heart. We cleaned that church up and down. Windows, shelfs, blinds, music room, upstairs, downstairs, we went through it all! After serving we had lunch with the congregation and then set up for church the next day. After a long day of serving a couple of us decided we could really go for some coffee, so we went down town and check out this place verve we kept hearing about. It was so amazing! I got a small mocha yum yum! While in line I couldn’t help but hear this man behind us saying to his friend “I know God’s going to heal me”. Now that’s something I would like to partner with! So I went up to him told him I was on a trip from bethel and asked if I could pray with him. What an amazing opportunity to partner with the lord. After I got my coffee I sat down by myself outside and just though about everything Jesus was doing. To my surprise the guys I prayed for asked if I would like to join them, which of course I would! The four of them were from San Francisco. We sat and talked about Jesus and what he was doing in Redding with bssm and bethel, then I asked the crew if they wanted to partner with what was going on. They came on over and just showered these men with love and prophetic words and visions from the lord. It truly was a blessing!

Later in the afternoon Saturday we went downtown to split into our groups do dinner and evangelize. We had many prayers with different people along the way, prayers for healing, favor, and grace. We even had sock that a team member brought to give to people in need, that brought many testimony’s as well!

Sunday we had a couple of us who lead worship at the church and one of our leaders shared a message on hope in a glorious church! Such a good and timely message which also was based on one of Bethel’s core values. Two others on the team shared some amazing life changing testimony’s as well. After church the sun was shining and the weather was sweet, so we decided to go to the beach. We split up into a couple different groups and went out. Although we didn’t come into many opportunities to speak to people about the lord we sure had an amazing time. Later Sunday night we went to another house church affiliated with gathering by the bay and firestarters. It was so good to be in a small environment with around 30 people just lit up for the lord! Not to mention the views up in Felton are out of this world! That night we worshiped with friends and just poured our hearts out to the lord!

Monday was our last full day in town and man was it one of the craziest! We started the morning by going to a warehouse where Patty who use to work for NASA is literally changing the world as we know it with solar panels, sustainable food, washer dryer combos for the homeless, lights for growing vegetables. This guy is brilliant! Coolest thing is he has a heart for Africa like non other and takes these things overseas to help African natives changes there countries!! After we left there completely dazed and confused we broke up into a couple groups again. This time 5 of us went to a local rehab facility. We were the “spiritual group”. It truly was so good to see the heart our local leader had for these men and women and through worship, relationship and prayer we were able to bring almost ever single one of them into a deeper relationship with Jesus! After that we meet up with the others and we went for a boat ride on the bay where we got into some deep topics of what are the plans after school and what are some of our stories. My inner child was having so much fun on the water. Back on land after a little break we went to a local pastors house for taco Monday, yummy! Bonefires, tacos, and Jesus now that’s my kinda place! We were blessed with some amazing books about Lonnie frisbee from his spiritual son and some of us even got to wear Lonnie’s old jacket! Talk about mind blown!

We ended the whole trip Tuesday morning with prayer at hill side church and blessed them with love, hugs, and prophetic words all before finishing off with a group picture. This trip was truly one for the books and my life is forever changed. Santa Cruz has been on my heart for years and this just made my heart cry out more for this amazing part of the world. Im truly praying on going back!

I hope you enjoyed reading about the amazing adventures in our trip, and I can’t wait for more to come! These are the ways I enjoy living my life, free and in complete surrender to the Holy Spirit! It doesn’t always look how we think but it’s always a blessing regardless! Y’all have an amazing week ahead and God bless you!
