PREPARING FOR DESTINY

Last week I wrote a message about living in the moment and how in a culture that is moving so fast how we often look forward to what is next rather than living in the moment that we are currently in.

This week I want to take some time and look at what can we do in our current moment to help steward our time for what God has called us for.

Currently as most of you know I am attending school at Bethel School of Supernatural Ministry. First year at Bssm is one that is heavily focused on identity. Questions like, Who am I?, Who is God?, Who am I in Christ? The answers to these questions carry the upmost importance for us to be truly effective for the kingdom of heaven! Although this weeks topic is not about identity is does carry a lot of validity for stewarding our current moment. As we learn who we are in Christ he begins to show us what our “mission” is and where we are called for an area of influence.

The other day I was at a school event and I was speaking with a friend who I often speak to about what the lord has called them to speak on as I know the lord has instilled in this women a gift to share the gospel all over the world. Through our general conversation she told me that there was not any present opportunities to speak and she had not done much in regards to current messages. I began to tell her what the lord was telling me and releasing the revelation he gave me over her. As part of my identity in the lord is to speak and preach the gospel of Jesus Christ to the nations it is inherently natural that there is a message within me. Although currently I have no stage and no microphone but I do have a voice. He has told me to put out a weekly message as a way of stewarding my time and sharing the gospel. (That’s what this message is) I could tell this hit close to home and really moved her.

Though it is important to live in the present and not dwell on the future it is vitally important that we are diligent in stewarding our time and shape our character into the men and women God has called us to be. Sometimes the things we are learning and working on at this current moment won’t come to fruition for years. This is why knowing who we are in Jesus is so important because only then can we co create with him limiting distractions and walking side by side with our creator.

So this week I extend to you and open invitation to seek the lord and ask him what are the things you can be doing now to steward your time to help shape your destiny. It’s in these moments of seeking him and being diligent that we actually step into creating everlasting destiny through ourselves and others.

Grace be with you!

Elijah
